The DRDO Distinguished Fellowships are designed for retired or retiring Outstanding Scientists who wish to contribute their expertise to cutting-edge research in defense science, missiles, and naval systems. Working in various DRDO laboratories across India, the fellows will provide critical direction and advice on advanced technology projects. It is a highly prestigious role with a significant monthly allowance that allows retired defense scientists to stay engaged at the forefront of national security technologies.
- A total of 7 vacancies are available across DRDO and non-DRDO organizations.
- Selected fellows will be required to serve and attend offices on all working days in their assigned laboratory anywhere in India.
- No annual increment or additional allowances like DA, HRA, and medical reimbursement are provided except for transport allowance.
- Eligible candidates should submit their application within 21 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in newspapers.

Additional Salary Information
Fixed monthly honorarium of ₹1,00,000/- per month. Retired Lt. Generals or equivalent in Pay Level-15 are also eligible.
