Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interaction/Interview based on their valid GATE scores (2024/2025/2026) in a 1:5 ratio, discipline-wise and category-wise.
Document verification will be conducted before the Interaction/Interview. Only eligible candidates with original documents will proceed.
The Personal Interaction/Interview will assess Technical (Academic) knowledge, Presentation/Communication Skill/Comprehension, and Academic performance (0.05 mark per percentage in essential qualification).
Minimum qualifying marks for the interview are 50% for Unreserved category and 40% for EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD categories.
Final selection will be based on a combined merit of 60% weightage to GATE score and 40% weightage to Personal Interaction/Interview marks.
In case of a tie in total marks, candidates with higher GATE scores will be ranked higher. If still tied, candidates with more marks in the Technical (Academic) knowledge section of the interview will be ranked higher. If still tied, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
