The Sports Authority of India (SAI) invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for 323 Assistant Coach vacancies across various sports disciplines. These positions are on a regular basis, with selected candidates liable for posting anywhere in India. Additional Salary Information
Pay Band-II (Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs.4200/-). Candidates recruited shall be entitled for Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Leave, Medical Benefits, etc., as per Central Government Rules.

Selection Process
Two-stage process: Computer Based Test (CBT) and Coaching Ability Test (CAT).
CBT assesses sports-specific knowledge, sports sciences, general awareness, reasoning, and aptitude.
CBT is a two-hour test with 100 multiple-choice questions and negative marking (one-fourth).
Candidates for CAT will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio based on CBT performance.
CAT evaluates foundational coaching knowledge and relationship-building capacity (60% weightage).
Final selection based on a merit list from CBT (40% weightage) and CAT (60% weightage).

Unreserved, EWS and OBC category: Rs. 2500/-
SC/ST/Ex-servicemen: Rs. 2000/-
Women Candidates: Rs. 2000/-
Reservation
33% horizontal reservation for women shall be applicable.
Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST): 5 years age relaxation.
Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years age relaxation.
Ex-Servicemen and Departmental Candidates: Age relaxation as per prevailing Government of India norms.
Contractual Employees of SAI: Age relaxation equivalent to duration of service in SAI (minimum one year continuous service mandatory).
