- Qualification: Candidates must possess a full-time bachelor's degree in civil engineering AND a post-graduation in Marine Structures, Coastal Engineering, or Ocean Engineering or equivalent. A minimum of 11 years of post-qualification experience is required, with at least 5 years specifically in the design and construction of marine structures such as breakwater, revetment/shore protection works, dredging, reclamation, berths, jetties, and piling. Degrees must be recognized by AICTE or from a university incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament, or declared as Deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) treated as equivalent to a Degree by Govt. of India and recognized by AICTE will also be accepted. For UR/EWS candidates, a first-class degree or minimum 60% marks in the minimum qualification is required. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) need at least 50% marks.

Additional Salary Information
The pay scale for the DGM (Civil - Marine Structural Expert) position is INR 70,000-2,00,000 per month. Employees appointed on a regular basis from other PSUs or Government organizations, who apply through proper channels, will be eligible for pay protection (Basic+DA). Selection Process
The selection process involves Document Scrutiny followed by an Interview.
Documents submitted by candidates will be scrutinized, and eligible candidates will be called for verification of original documents and the selection process.

Reservation
Reservation/relaxation/concessions to EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD/Ex-SM/J&K Domicile will be provided against reserved posts as per extant Government orders.
RITES regular/contract employees fulfilling the educational qualification and experience criteria shall be given age relaxation of 5 years over and above the upper age limit.
Age relaxation for SC/ST Category: 5 years.
Age relaxation for OBC-NCL Category: 3 years.
Age relaxation for J&K Domicile: 5 years.
Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years, in addition to other permissible age relaxations, subject to the post being identified suitable for PWD.
OBC-NCL candidates must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer category and furnish a community certificate and a declaration as per Annexure III. The certificate should not be older than one year on the crucial date.
EWS candidates must possess an Income and Asset Certificate valid for FY 2026-27 as per Government of India format.
