Qualification: Candidates should possess a Diploma/Degree Certificate in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering with a UT Level-2 Certificate (ASNT/ISNT) from an Institution recognized by BTE/AICTE or a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) is also accepted as equivalent to a Degree.

Additional Salary Information

The approximate emoluments at the minimum of the pay-scale for the position vary by city class. For Mumbai/Bangalore and X Class Cities, the Monthly Basic Pay is ₹28,444 with a Monthly Gross Pay of ₹50,346 and ₹47,501 respectively. For Y Class Cities, the Monthly Basic Pay is ₹26,208 with a Monthly Gross Pay of ₹41,147. For Z Class Cities, the Monthly Basic Pay is ₹23,868 with a Monthly Gross Pay of ₹37,473. The basic remuneration will be revised according to Central Government minimum wage rates.

Selection Process

All candidates who successfully submit their online application will be provisionally allowed to appear for Document Scrutiny/verification.
Shortlisted/eligible candidates will be called for an Interview.
The interview will have a 100% weightage, distributed as 65% for Technical & Professional proficiency and 35% for Personality, Communication & Competency.
A minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/ PWD against reserved posts) in the interview is required for placement on the panel.
The selection process (written test, document verification, or interview) may be conducted at RITES' Regional Offices.
Appointment is subject to being found medically fit as per RITES Rules and Standards of Medical Fitness.
