Additional Salary Information
Scientist/Engineer 'SD' (Post Code 01-03) will be in Level 11 (₹67,100–₹2,08,700) per month. Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Post Code 04-16) will be in Level 10 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500) per month. In addition, Dearness Allowances (DA), House Rent Allowances (HRA), and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules. Employees are governed by the National Pension System/Unified Pension Scheme. Medical facilities, subsidized canteen, quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance etc. are admissible as per DOS/Central Government orders.

Selection Process
Initial screening based on online applications for shortlisting candidates for interview.
Written Test (for Scientist/Engineer 'SC' posts only, Post Code 04-16).
Personal Interview (shortlisted in 1:5 ratio based on written test performance, minimum 10 candidates).
Final selection for SD posts is based on performance in the interview only. For SC posts, 50% weightage is given to Written Test marks and 50% weightage to Interview marks for final panel generation.
Application Fees
No application fee for Scientist/Engineer ‘SD’ (Post Code 01-03).
For Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Post Code 04-16), initially all applicants have to uniformly pay ₹750/- as application-fee.
Refund in full for candidates exempted from payment (women, SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen) if they appear in the written test.
Other candidates will be refunded ₹500 after deducting the application fee of ₹250 if they appear in the written test.
All applicable service charges for payment of Application fee shall be borne by the Applicant.
Reservation
Serving Central Govt. Employees, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) and Ex-Serviceman etc. are eligible for upper age relaxation as per extant Govt. of India rules/orders.
Out of the total vacancies of Post Code 04-06 and 09-11, 01 (One) post of SAC is reserved for PwBD- Locomotor Disability (Backlog Vacancy).
Out of the total vacancies of Post Code 07 & 12-16, 01 (One) post of SAC is reserved for PwBD (Blind, Low Vision).
Out of 05 vacancies of NRSC (Post Code 12), 01 (One) post is reserved for PwBD (Blind, Low Vision).
