Additional Salary Information
Consolidated pay for candidates meeting minimum experience requirements ranges from ₹22,100 to ₹24,800 per month, with additional compensation for extra hours of work ranging from ₹5,530 to ₹6,200 per month. Higher pay may be offered for additional on-roll experience.

Selection Process
Practical Test (Phase I: 80 marks, Phase II: Physical Test: 20 marks) for Outfit Assistants and Mooring & Scaffolding Assistant.
Practical Test (100 marks) for Fabrication Assistant (Welder).
Minimum pass mark for unreserved posts is 50% of Total Marks of each Test.
Minimum pass mark for ST candidates is 40% of Total Marks of each test only for vacancies reserved for ST.
CSL reserves the right to scrutinise applications and shortlist candidates based on eligibility requirements.
Certificate verification will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
Medical examination for short-listed candidates.

SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
Reservation

How to Apply

- The application consists of two phases: One-time Registration and submission of application against the post applicable.
- Applicants should not submit more than one application; application once submitted shall be final.
- Applicants meeting the notified requirements may do the One-time Registration in the SAP Online portal and submit their application.
- The facility to submit their application can be accessed through www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page → CMSRU, Mumbai) from 14 October 2026 to 12 November 2026.
- Application submitted direct or by any other mode shall not be accepted.
- Applicants should ensure that all certificates towards proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste, and a recent passport size colour photograph are uploaded in the SAP online application portal.
- After applying online, applicants should retain a soft copy/printout of the online application containing the unique registration number generated by the system for their reference.
