Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a premier Miniratna Schedule ‘A’ Company, is inviting online applications from Indian citizens for various Workmen posts on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals with ITI qualifications and relevant experience to join a leading shipbuilding and repair facility. Selected candidates will be posted at CSL units or project sites across India.

Additional Salary Information
Consolidated pay of ₹ 23,300/- per month, with eligibility for compensation for extra hours of work up to ₹ 5,830/- per month. Higher pay may be offered for additional on-roll experience in CSL or similar Shipyards.

The method of selection shall be through Practical Test (100 Marks).
CSL reserves the right to scrutinise applications and prepare a shortlist of candidates based on eligibility requirements.
Shortlisted candidates will attend the Practical Test at CSL, Kochi.
Minimum pass marks for Practical Test: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, 40% for SC/ST/PwBD.
Selection is subject to verification of original certificates (age, educational qualification, experience, reservation).
Rank lists for each post shall be prepared based on marks in Practical Test. In case of tie, seniority in age will decide merit.
Application Fees
Application fee of ₹ 300/- (Non refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking).
Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) need not pay application fee.
Reservation
Government of India Directives on reservation shall apply.
Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) shall be as per Govt. of India Guidelines.
Applicants belonging to EWS category should produce a valid Income and Asset Certificate.
Applicants belonging to SC or ST or OBC (Non Creamy Layer), should produce a valid recent community certificate.

- Do One-time Registration in the SAP Online portal.
- Submit application against the post applicable through www.cochinshipyard.in (Career page → CSL, Kochi) from 21 January 2026 to 07 February 2026.
- Ensure all certificates (age, educational qualification, experience, caste etc.) and a recent passport size colour photograph are uploaded.
- Ensure all entries are correctly filled and application is submitted successfully. Retain a soft copy/printout of the online application with the unique registration number.
- Applicants need not send the online application print out/certificates/application fee by post.
