Additional Salary Information
GDSs are paid emoluments in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) with an annual increase of 3%, plus Dearness Allowance. Initial engagement TRCA slabs are Rs.12,000/- to Rs.29,380/- for BPM and Rs.10,000/- to Rs.24,470/- for ABPM/Dak Sevak. Other social security benefits include GDS Gratuity and Service Discharge Benefit Scheme.

Selection Process
Shortlisting based on a system-generated merit list.
Merit list prepared based on marks obtained in the 10th standard Secondary School Examination, aggregated to a percentage (up to 4 decimals).
Grades/Points will be converted to marks using a multiplication factor of 9.5 by the system.
In case of a tie, priority will be given based on DOB (older in age) and then category (ST trans-woman, ST female, SC trans-woman, etc.).
Physical verification of original documents by the Engaging Authority (Divisional/Unit Head).
Issuance of 'Offer of provisional engagement' upon successful document verification.
Completion of pre-engagement formalities, including basic training and arrangement of accommodation, within 30 days.
Final order of engagement issued after verification of documents from issuing authorities and antecedent verification by Police Authorities.

Reservation
